Job summary

Talently is seeking a Group Product Manager to set product direction, lead a PM team, and own end-to-end outcomes across complex systems. You will define clear specs, own activation/retention metrics, and ensure releases are cohesive and stable.

You will collaborate with executives on priorities, decay scope when needed, and champion data-driven bets across cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of product management experience, including managing or mentoring PMs and owning a product area end to end.
  • Proven track record owning product strategy and outcomes — not just shipping features.
  • Comfortable working with complex systems, dependencies across components, edge cases, and trade-offs.
  • Strong analytical skills; decides from data and user research, and can define the metric that proves a bet worked.
  • Able to “level” with Engineering: discusses system connections (API contracts, data, mismatches).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; translates business needs into clear product requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Set the direction and roadmap, anchored in company strategy and moats.
  • Manage and grow a team of PMs; raise the bar on how they define and deliver.
  • Make sure every spec is buildable from one reading: clear behavior + acceptance criteria.
  • Own your area’s metrics — activation, retention, conversion, revenue — not just features shipped.
  • Decide what to build from data and user research, not opinion.
  • Own what goes into each sprint, what’s deferred, and the cost of what we leave out.
  • Protect capacity for bugs, urgencies and stability work.
  • Own cross-component initiatives: surface dependencies before anyone builds, make sure the pieces add up.
  • A passing ticket isn’t enough — the whole release must work and base flows must never break.
  • Align CEO, Pricing, Marketing, and Ops on priorities. Say no when it’s right — and explain why.
