About this role:
The Group Manager, Medical Affairs will lead a team that strategically partners with key opinion leaders to generate and disseminate clinical evidence and education to ultimately improve evidence-based clinical practices and patient outcomes in interventional cardiology and structural heart valve therapies in the United States.

This is a Maple Grove, Minnesota-based hybrid role with three days in-office when not traveling for customer engagements.

Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Collaborate closely with global clinical and functional leaders to ensure alignment with scientific and educational priorities; act as key liaison for communication within the organization.
  2. Advance scientific and educational objectives with appreciation of the commercial landscape.
  3. Set strategy to partner with key opinion leaders in structural heart and interventional cardiology on scientific and educational objectives.
  4. Develop and maintain a high level of expertise in data pertaining to all marketed and pipeline products, as well as a solid knowledge base of current data developments in relevant fields of assigned technologies.
  5. Create, customize, and prepare physicians to present scientific educational content for scientific congresses and educational programs.
  6. Evaluate and recommend clinical sites that will contribute to excellent execution of clinical trials.
  7. Evaluate external clinical research proposals and collaborate with internal teams to advise on the impact and strategic alignment of the proposal.
  8. Collaborate with internal teams to plan and implement high-quality physician medical education at scientific congresses or Boston Scientific-sponsored programs (advisory boards, educational programs, symposia, digital physician education).
  9. Provide excellent cross-functional collaboration across all levels of the organization to present a united front to customers.
  10. Coordinate activities of the team and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  11. Provide direct leadership and professional growth of team members through guidance, coaching, and development.

Required qualifications:

  1. Minimum 7 years relevant experience in the medical device industry or 5 years with an advanced degree.
  2. Fluency in understanding & interpretation of clinical data.
  3. Ability to travel up to 30% domestically.

Preferred qualifications:

  1. Technical or clinical knowledge in interventional cardiology preferred.
  2. Experience in developing educational programs and KOL management.
  3. Previous track record of building relationships with key opinion leaders in the medical field.
  4. Previous experience in medical device product marketing, field clinical engineering, or commercial, customer-facing roles.

Minimum Salary: $99,100

Maximum Salary: $188,300

The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs.

At BSC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above.
