Job summary

Qualifications

• GLC2 requires HS diploma or GED and either 6 months experience observing, evaluating, developing, and monitoring youth behavior or a related degree
• Under-fill option for GLC1 may be considered
• Special qualifications: 21+ and valid driver license

Responsibilities

• Coach, confront, and correct youth behavior as needed
• Observe, evaluate, and record youth behavior, attendance, and participation in programs
• Prepare Youth Incident Reports (YIRs) and document incidents
• Assign, train, and supervise youth in chores and jobs within facility
• Supervise youth in community-based work crews when appropriate
• Monitor health and safety risks including suicide prevention
• Conduct security inspections and searches of facility and vehicles
• Administer medication under medical staff supervision
• Provide secure transport of youth to appointments as needed
