Job Description

Oregon Youth Authority seeks a qualified candidate to serve as a Group Life Coordinator 2 (GLC2) at Camp Tillamook Youth Transitional Facility. This role requires supervising youth in a 24/7 correctional environment, ensuring safety, implementing policies, and supporting youth in achieving goals.

Responsibilities
  • Provide continuous interactive supervision of youth.
  • Oversee daily activities, transport youth for programming, appointments, and community activities.
  • Build rapport, address and redirect behavior, model pro‑social skills, and support individual goals.
  • Coach, confront, and correct youth behavior as needed.
  • Observe, document youth behavior and participation in programs.
  • Monitor for health and safety risks, including suicide prevention.
  • Conduct security inspections and searches of housing units.
  • Administer medications under indirect supervision of medical staff.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma, GED, or higher education; plus at least 6 months full‑time experience in behavioral observation; or Associate degree in behavioral science, education, criminal justice, or related field.
  • For GLC1 (under‑fill): same high school diploma or GED requirement.
  • 21 years old or older, valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record.
  • Physical Abilities Test (PAT) demonstrated.
