Penn State Health - Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, PA is seeking a Group Leader Maintenance Mechanic for the Facilities Maintenance team. This full-time role supports the Supervisor in daily operations of the Maintenance Mechanic shop, organizes work, and ensures materials, supplies and tools are available to complete tasks.

The position requires a high school diploma, 3 years of related mechanical experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to read and follow complex instructions,

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Three (3) years job related experience including mechanical training and hands-on experience in repair of stationary or mobile equipment required.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Ability to read, comprehend and follow verbal and written instructions; use of formulas, charts, tables, drawings, specifications, schedules, wiring diagrams and schematics, together with the use of adjustable measuring instruments and use shop mathematics equivalent to 1 to 3 years applied trades training.
• Must pass a written test and hands on skills demonstration with a minimum passing score of 75%.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):

• Industrial Building maintenance and leadership experience are preferred.
• Operation of tractors, forklifts, bucket trucks, high lifts and other types of equipment preferred.
