Penn State Health is seeking a qualified Physician Assistant for the Critical Care - Pulmonary Medicine team at Milton S. Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, PA.

The role supports inpatient critical care, diagnoses and treats acute and chronic illnesses, and may order tests and prescribe under supervision. We require an AMA-approved PA program, national certification, and BLS; full-time; varied shifts; strong teamwork and commitment to patient care are essential.

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Graduate of an AMA approved Physician Assistant Program or equivalent meeting licensure requirements.
• National Certification in the State of employment or reciprocity and licensure to practice in the State of employment.

Responsabilités

• Diagnose and treat acute, episodic, or chronic illness in inpatient critical care.
• Order, perform, or interpret diagnostic tests such as labs and X-rays.
• May prescribe medications as appropriate within scope of practice.
• Collaborate with healthcare team in the Critical Care - Pulmonary Medicine unit.

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Diagnose and treat acute, episodic, or chronic illness, independently or as part of a healthcare team. May focus on health promotion and disease prevention. May order, perform, or interpret diagnostic tests such as lab work and x-rays. May prescribe. Works in an inpatient critical care area.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

• Graduate of an AMA approved Physician Assistant Program or baccalaureate or higher degree program that meets licensure requirements in the State of employment
• National Certification in State of employment or in another State with reciprocity and licensure to practice in the State of employment
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
