Job summary

Eurofins USA BioPharma Services in Portage, MI is seeking a Laboratory Operations Specialist with a chemistry/biology background and 4+ years of lab experience. You will coordinate workflow, monitor TAT, conduct semi-annual performance reviews, and support LEAN initiatives.

Responsibilities include conducting investigations, root-cause analysis, and developing CAPA while ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. Full-time, 2pm-12am schedule with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry/biology/biochemistry or related field.
• At least 4 years of laboratory experience.
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate workflow and monitor daily operations to meet TAT.
• Conduct semi-annual performance reviews and interview applicants.
• Prepare for growth by evaluating succession plans.
• Coach, train, and develop team on operational improvements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve instrumental and method issues.
• Lead investigations, determine root cause, and document CAPA.
• Support LEAN initiatives and drive process improvements.
• Ensure adherence to all state & federal employment regulations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate workflow and perform daily monitoring to meet TAT
• Conduct semi-annual performance reviews, interview applicants, keep training records up to date for assigned employees, evaluate succession plans in preparation for growth
• Perform work for both routine and non-routine work as specified by separate and applicable technical job description for individual
• Coach, train, and develop others within the group with respect to their personal development and effective implementation of operational improvements
• Troubleshoot and solve both instrumental and method issues
• Lead and write investigations independently, establish root cause and robust CAPA
• Support and drive LEAN initiatives and operational improvements
• Perform all functions in support of and in compliance with all state and federal employment regulations

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, biochemistry, or related degree concentration and at least 4 years of laboratory experience

Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Position is full-time, Monday through Thursday, 2pm - 12am. 4x10 schedule, with overtime as needed. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Portage, MI are encouraged to apply.
