Job summary

Eurofins USA BioPharma Services is seeking a dedicated laboratory professional in Portage, MI to coordinate workflows, monitor performance, and ensure timely results. The role involves coaching staff, solving instrument and method issues, and leading investigations with strong CAPA practices.

The ideal candidate holds a relevant science degree with several years of lab experience and must have US work authorization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, biochemistry, or related degree with at least 4 years of laboratory experience.
• US work authorization without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate workflow and perform daily monitoring to meet turnaround times.
• Conduct semi-annual performance reviews and manage training records for staff.
• Handle routine and non-routine laboratory work as defined by applicable job descriptions.
• Coach and develop team members to improve operations.
• Troubleshoot instrumental and method issues and lead investigations.
• Identify root causes and implement robust CAPA.
• Support LEAN initiatives and drive operational improvements.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal employment regulations.

Job Description

• Coordinate workflow and perform daily monitoring to meet TAT
• Conduct semi-annual performance reviews, interview applicants, keep training records up to date for assigned employees, evaluate succession plans in preparation for growth
• Perform work for both routine and non-routine work as specified by separate and applicable technical job description for individual
• Coach, train, and develop others within the group with respect to their personal development and effective implementation of operational improvements
• Troubleshoot and solve both instrumental and method issues
• Lead and write investigations independently, establish root cause and robust CAPA
• Support and drive LEAN initiatives and operational improvements
• Perform all functions in support of and in compliance with all state and federal employment regulations

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, biochemistry, or related degree concentration and at least 4 years of laboratory experience
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
