Job summary

Quest Diagnostics in Lewisville, TX is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist Group Lead to supervise microbiology operations on a Monday to Friday 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM shift with rotational weekends. This leadership role requires 3–5 years in microbiology and ASCP certification, with responsibilities across testing, QC, and staff oversight.

You will ensure timely reporting, compliance with CLIA/ HIPAA, and ongoing process improvements.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of clinical experience as Medical Technologist in Microbiology.
• ASCP Certification is required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology, Chemistry or Biology.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate proficiency in duties of Medical Technologist I and II.
• Perform and report analytical tests per SOP and QC requirements.
• Support lab policies for specimen handling, processing, test analysis and result documentation.
• Adhere to schedules to maintain turnaround time including STAT or critical results.
• Review QC analysis and ensure instrument accuracy; make QC decisions as needed.
• Assist Lab Supervisor by monitoring workflow, training staff, and resolving issues.
