Quest Diagnostics Incorporated in Brick, NJ seeks a Medical Laboratory Scientist Group Lead to oversee laboratory operations, supervise staff, and ensure high-quality testing and reporting. The role requires leadership, strong MT expertise, and adherence to SOPs and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Three (3) to five (5) years of clinical experience as a Medical Technologist in the designated discipline.
• Foreign educated candidates must provide a detailed credential evaluation from IERF.
• United States educated candidates must provide a detailed original transcript.
• ASCP Certification highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate proficiency in duties of Medical Technologist I and II.
• Perform and report analytical tests per SOPs with QC requirements.
• Support laboratory policies for specimen handling and processing.
• Adhere to analytical schedules to maintain turnaround times, including STATS.
• Review QC analysis and ensure data accuracy and instrument function.
• Investigate analytical issues and advise on corrective actions.
• Monitor workflow to meet testing schedules and train staff as needed.
• Participate in inspections and ensure compliance with safety and regulations.
