Pillar Care Continuum is seeking a Group Home Residential Manager for the Harding/Morristown area. This full-time role oversees day-to-day operations of a residential group home, ensuring compliance with DDD and Pillar policies and coordinating with licensing bodies.

Qualifications

• At least 21 years of age (Insurance Purposes)
• Minimum of 3 years' DDD Management experience
• DDD Licensing experience preferred
• Valid driver’s license with 4 points or less always
• 5 years of successful employment working with adults with disabilities
• Experience handling a variety of medical diagnoses and behavioral needs
• Experience conducting doctor appointments with individuals with disabilities
• Ability to successfully complete Pillar trainings in required period and to adhere to DDD policies and procedures.
• Ability to drive a multi-passenger vehicle.
• Successful completion of drug screening, criminal history background and TB screening

Responsibilities

• Supervising resident medical, activity, financial and other records and ensuring required records are completed and submitted according to requirements.
• Performing functions of Residential Care Assistant or shift supervisor and supporting individuals in implementation of IHP/ISP or other goals and objectives.
• Adhering to health precautions and ensuring wellbeing of residents by monitoring health, following up on medical, dental, and emotional health requirements, communication, social, recreation, and ADL skills; may accompany residents to appointments; may administer prescribed and over-the-counter medication.
• Maintaining safety by periodic inspections, conducting fire drills, enacting safety procedures, and training residents and staff; ensure licensing standards are maintained; conduct meetings.
• Hiring, directing, supervising, and training staff; coordinating staff schedules; conducting staff meetings; counseling and disciplining staff; evaluating performance and making compensation recommendations.
• Developing policies and procedures based on experience and need; following DDD and Pillar policies; responding to emergencies and incidents in a timely manner; may conduct investigations.
• Participating in annual Licensing and audits; providing written plans of correction.
• Maintaining communication with family, case managers and others; coordinating activities with day program staff, consultants and other providers; communicating with DDD staff as delegated.
• Managing the residential facility budget; monitoring expenditures; handling personal funds of residents; assisting with money management.
• Overseeing upkeep of the home; coordinating maintenance and repairs; ordering supplies.

Education

High school diploma or GED

BA/BS degree in Social Service, Rehabilitation, LPN or similar discipline preferred.
