Job summary

Pathlight Community Services seeks an Assistant Manager for a Michigan group home. You will supervise Direct Care Staff, ensure resident safety, and support daily programs and treatment plans. Responsibilities include coordinating care, attending staff meetings, documenting incidents, and maintaining policy adherence.

A high school diploma and group home experience are required, with supervision by the Program Manager and District Manager.

Qualifications

• Must be able to complete required reports and follow written and oral instructions related to the care and supervision of residents.
• A high school diploma or GED is required.
• Must be suitable to meet the physical, emotional, intellectual and social needs of each resident.
• Must be capable of handling emergency situations.
• Competent in: Reporting requirements, First Aid, CPR, Personal care, Resident rights, Safety and fire prevention, and prevention/containment of communicable diseases.
• Must be in good physical and mental health to not negatively affect resident health or care quality.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Direct Care Staff and ensure safety and security when Home Manager is unavailable.
• Implement daily program goals and assist residents with treatment plans.
• Coordinate care and supervise residents with staff, attend meetings, and maintain professional relationships.
• Assist residents with personal care and mobility needs as required.
• Provide counseling to staff and residents, and participate in program development.
