Job summary

Elwyn New Jersey is seeking a Group Home Behavior Technician to provide direct support in an ABA residential setting for individuals with developmental disabilities who exhibit acute challenging behaviors. You will supervise daily activities and participate in therapeutic programs within a safe home environment.

The role requires 18+ years of age, a HS diploma or GED (associates preferred), and experience with IDD.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED; degree preferred in related field.
• Minimum 1 year direct care experience with individuals with IDD in residential/group home.
• Experience with acute behaviors is preferred.
• Background in ABA or behavioral strategies preferred.
• Completed trainings/certifications as designated, including safety care and enhanced behavior support.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise activities in the home/day program.
• Assist individuals in occupational, recreational, vocational and therapeutic programs.
• Support independent living skills (hygiene, meals, budgeting, etc.).
• Document skill development, behavior plans, emergencies, and reinforcement schedules.
• Attend house meetings and participate as a team member.
• Maintain state-m mandated training and certifications.
• Follow Elwyn New Jersey policies and cooperate with DHS during inspections.
• Perform CPR/safety care and medication administration per protocols.
