Job summary

Presbyterian Healthcare Services in Albuquerque, NM is seeking a PRN Fitness Instructor to lead and supervise group fitness classes during day shifts. The role requires maintaining certification and delivering safe, effective exercise sessions to diverse populations.

You will monitor participant responses, keep records per facility policy, and contribute to a clean, well-equipped wellness environment while staying current with professional development and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Nationally recognized fitness industry certification or registration preferred.
• One year of group fitness instruction experience with healthy and special populations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leads a variety of group fitness classes (low-impact, step, cycling, Pilates, strength, yoga).
• Maintains current nationally recognized fitness certification.
• Monitors participants’ responses and reports concerns.
• Keeps accurate participant records per facility policies.
• Maintains facilities, equipment and supplies for safety and efficiency.
• Stays current through professional memberships and in-service trainings.
• Maintains Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
