Job summary

University Hospitals seeks a PRN Group Fitness Instructor for the Mentor Fitness Center. You will instruct diverse classes, uphold safety standards, and lead groups of seven or more per ACSM guidelines.

Position requires BLS/CPR/AED within 90 days, and fitness certifications within 90 days, plus ongoing PHI compliance. Education includes a high school diploma with preferred degrees in Exercise Science.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate's degree in Exercise Science or related field preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science or related field preferred.
• Appropriate training for equipment used in classes (Required)

Responsibilities

• Instruct various levels and types of exercise classes in a safe and effective manner.
• Cues proper safety and form while instructing classes.
• Lead groups of 7+ participants according to ACSM guidelines for group fitness.
• Perform additional duties as assigned; comply with policies and standards.
• Maintain PHI handling per UH policies and required training.
• Refer to departmental documentation during orientation for role specifics.
