Job summary

YMCA in Flemington, NJ seeks a certified group fitness instructor and personal trainer. This role supports both group classes and one-on-one sessions, with options for part-time hourly work or full-time opportunities (40 hours a week) available.

You will connect with members, design engaging, safe programs for all abilities, and be ready to substitute for fellow instructors. Join a friendly, diverse team and wear the Y gear with pride.

Qualifications

• One of the following certifications: National Group Fitness, yoga, spin, Pilates, Les Mills.
• Personal Trainer Certification (NASM, ACE, ISSA, etc.) with strong knowledge of exercise science, nutrition, and injury prevention
• Ability to develop individualized and group fitness programs
• Team player with a commanding, positive presence and passion for connecting with members
• Ability to adapt your class/style for the members in front of you

Responsibilities

• Finding new and engaging ways to connect with our members during class
• Instructing an effective, safe class for all abilities in the gym
• Willing and able to serve as a substitute for fellow instructors
• To be proud to wear your Y gear and be an advocate for us
