The role requires certification, strong communication, punctuality, and commitment to YMCA values. You will attend staff trainings and complete payroll tasks weekly.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Current nationally recognized group exercise certification.
• Ability to communicate and lead group exercise classes to a diverse group.
• First Aid, CPR/AED certification within 90 days of hire.
• Complete YMCA orientation and safety trainings.
• Notify the Healthy Living Director before certifications expire.

Responsibilities

• Lead and instruct group fitness classes with professionalism.
• Be punctual and adhere to the dress code.
• Provide safe instruction and a stimulating workout.
• Take attendance and maintain a class roster.
• Maintain class format and music; store equipment properly.
• Ensure room is clean after each class and report hazards.
• Follow emergency procedures and report safety issues in writing.
• Represent the YMCA professionally and foster a positive environment.
• Attend required staff meetings and trainings.
• Complete payroll via the payroll app by the scheduled deadline.
