Job summary

HealthFitness in Warren, NJ is seeking a dynamic Group Class Instructor to join our team on a flexible fill-in basis. You will lead energizing, safe classes such as dance, kickboxing, step, boot camp, and strength training to help members stay active and engaged.

The role requires current national certifications and CPR/First Aid, plus 2+ years of group exercise instruction experience. You will navigate electronic onboarding and timecard systems to complete required paperwork and schedule

Qualifications

• Current group exercise instructor certification from national accrediting bodies (ACE, AFAA/NASM, ACSM, NETA, NCCPT, or equivalent).
• Adult CPR/AED and First Aid certifications from AHA, Red Cross or similar organization.
• 2+ years group exercise instruction experience preferred.
• Ability to navigate electronic onboarding and timecard systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide fun, effective, and safe group exercise classes (e.g., dance, kickboxing, step, boot camp, strength).
• Lead classes with energy and adapt to coverage needs while maintaining safety.
• Engage participants and foster a positive, inclusive class environment.

Responsible for providing fun, effective, and safe group exercise to members such as dance, kickboxing, step, boot camp, and strength training.

Minimum Requirements

• Current group exercise instructor certification from ACE, AFAA/NASM, ACSM, NETA, NCCPT, or other NCCA nationally accredited specialty class certification required.
• Adult CPR/AED and First Aid certifications from American Heart Association, American Red Cross or American Safety & Health Institute required.
• 2+ years group exercise instruction experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to navigate electronic onboarding and timecard systems required.

Applicants must meet hiring requirements including but not limited to pre-employment drug test.

The compensation range for this role is $30/hr - $45/hr. The final wage offer will be determined based on factors such as location, qualifications, experience, skill set, and other relevant factors.
