Job summary

HealthFitness is seeking a dynamic Group Class Instructor to lead on-site classes in Warren, NJ. This flexible, part-time role involves delivering fun, energizing group exercises such as dance, kickboxing, step, boot camp, and strength training to participants.

Qualified candidates hold a nationally accredited group fitness certification and CPR/AED/First Aid. 2+ years of instruction experience is preferred, and onboarding/timecard systems familiarity is required.

Qualifications

• Current group exercise instructor certification from ACE, AFAA/NASM, ACSM, NETA, NCCPT, or other NCCA nationally accredited certification required.
• Adult CPR/AED and First Aid certifications from recognized bodies required.
• 2+ years group exercise instruction experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to navigate electronic onboarding and timecard systems required.

Responsibilities

• Provide fun, effective, and safe group exercise to members (dance, kickboxing, step, boot camp, strength).
• Lead classes on-site and cover as needed to keep programs running smoothly.
• Monitor participant safety and correct form to prevent injuries.

Responsible for providing fun, effective, and safe group exercise to members such as dance, kickboxing, step, boot camp, and strength training.

Minimum Requirements

• Current group exercise instructor certification from ACE, AFAA/NASM, ACSM, NETA, NCCPT, or other NCCA nationally accredited specialty class certification required.
• Adult CPR/AED and First Aid certifications from American Heart Association, American Red Cross or American Safety & Health Institute required.
• 2+ years group exercise instruction experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to navigate electronic onboarding and timecard systems required.

Applicants must meet hiring requirements including but not limited to pre-employment drug test. The compensation range for this role is $30/hr - $45/hr. The final wage offer will be determined based on factors such as location, qualifications, experience, skill set, and other relevant factors.
