The YMCA of Greater Brandywine invites applications for a Group Exercise Instructor. This role leads scheduled group exercise classes, fosters a positive, energetic environment, and ensures safety and class coverage.

You will greet participants, track attendance, and leverage Upace Group Ex tools to manage sub coverage and class communications. Applicants should be 18+, have at least 1 year of group exercise experience, and hold current certifications.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• At least 1 year of participation in group exercise class(es) required.
• Possess a current Group Exercise certificate or specialty certificate from a reputable organization.
• Obtain and maintain all new hire certifications within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to safely lead classes and use equipment.

Responsabilités

• Conduct group exercise classes and provide safe, enthusiastic, thorough instruction.
• Be a positive YMCA role model with an enthusiastic attitude.
• Ensure all scheduled classes run on time and secure sub coverage.
• Greet participants, learn their names, and take attendance.
• Familiarize yourself with Upace Group Ex technology (sub tracking, class contact, cancellations).
• Check and respond to YMCA email in a timely manner.
• Identify participants' limitations and adapt classes accordingly.
• Safely utilize all equipment for classes.
• Promote a healthy lifestyle and attend trainings/workshops.
• Participate in events and open houses; comply with policies.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
