Job summary

VML Health is seeking a strategic and driven Group Director of Engagement Strategy to lead and inspire our team, directing engagement and omnichannel work for health clients. You will mentor junior strategists, cultivate strong client relationships, and guide the strategic direction across brand, marketing, and CX initiatives.

You’ll oversee major client work, collaborate across disciplines, and drive innovation while maintaining a hands-on leadership style in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• 7-13 years of experience in market research, strategic planning, and customer experience (CX).
• Demonstrated focus on the healthcare industry.
• Experience managing and mentoring teams.
• Strong understanding of omnichannel strategy and its channels.
• Ability to build and maintain senior-level client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Develop an understanding of customers’ wants, needs, and behaviors across the full journey.
• Oversee engagement and omnichannel strategy development and channel plans.
• Guide Associate Directors and Directors in strategy development.
• Collaborate with strategists, Client Engagement, Medical, and Creative teams.
• Manage senior client relationships as a strategic partner.
• Lead workshops, measurement strategies, analytics approaches, and CX planning.
• Support strategy development on new business pitches.
