Job summary

VML Health in Chicago is seeking a strategic Group Director of Engagement Strategy to lead and inspire our healthcare CX team. You will drive omnichannel engagement across social, CRM, websites, and paid media, building strong client relationships and mentoring junior strategists to achieve ambitious outcomes.

The role requires 7–13 years in market research, strategic planning, and CX within healthcare, with proven leadership.

Qualifications

• 7–13 years in market research, strategic planning and customer experience with healthcare focus.
• Proven leadership and mentoring ability across teams.
• Strong client relationship management at senior level.

Responsibilities

• Develop understanding of clients' customers' wants and behaviors across the journey.
• Oversee engagement and omnichannel strategy aligning goals to channels (social, CRM, website, paid media, apps).
• Guide Associate Directors and Directors in strategy development.
• Collaborate with strategists, Client Engagement, Medical and Creative teams.
• Lead workshops, proposals, measurement strategies and CX planning.
• Drive growth opportunities and push innovative tools and ideas.
