Job summary

Evergreen Services Group is seeking a Group Controller to lead the finance and accounting function across a cluster of companies. The role collaborates with the COO to achieve EBITDA targets, while managing monthly close, consolidation, audits, and tax compliance for the portfolio.

The ideal candidate will build out a scalable finance team, drive KPI dashboards, and oversee onboarding for new acquisitions to accelerate growth and financial discipline across the group.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in accounting and financial statement prep
• Multi-entity consolidation and GAAP compliance knowledge
• Public accounting background preferred
• Experience leading or supporting audits and tax requirements
• Ability to identify and address data anomalies and ensure accuracy

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary financial strategist to the COO and drive EBITDA performance across the portfolio.
• Own annual budgeting and quarterly reforecast processes for the group.
• Lead consolidation monthly close and ERP conversion projects across all entities.
• Manage audits and tax compliance for the entire group.
• Hire, onboard, and develop accounting teammates across five operating companies.
• Develop automated dashboards to provide real-time operating metrics.

Skills

7+ years of accounting experience

Public accounting experience

CPA preferred

Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance/BA

Audit & tax process experience

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
