Job summary

GVW Group is seeking a Senior Chief Risk Officer to build and lead an enterprise risk capability across the group and portfolio companies. The role is operator-led, sitting at the intersection of risk ownership, insurance strategy, and technology risk, not a traditional compliance or audit position.

You will collaborate with the owner and senior leaders to identify, evaluate, and act on risks across operations, investments, and technology.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in risk, operations, or leadership roles.
• Experience in governance and decision frameworks.
• Experience in technology or cyber risk.
• Experience in insurance / risk transfer.
• Enterprise risk management (ERM) experience.
• Background in industrial, manufacturing, logistics, energy, or asset-heavy environments.

Responsibilities

• Define decision rights, thresholds, and delegation of authority.
• Oversee cybersecurity, data, and emerging technology risk.
• Own enterprise insurance strategy and risk transfer.
• Build and implement an enterprise risk framework aligned to GVW’s operating model.
• Identify and prioritize operational, financial, supply chain, and product risks across portfolio companies.
