Job summary

Xylem Tree Experts and Kendall Vegetation Services is seeking a full-time Groundsperson to support storm restoration efforts. You will work from the ground to clear debris, set staging areas, load materials, and operate trucks and equipment, with overtime and weekend shifts as needed.

The role requires a high school diploma (preferred), a valid driver’s license, and the ability to pass a background check and drug screen.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience in electric utility vegetation management, construction, logging, landscaping, mechanical, or military industries preferred.
Valid Driver’s license required. CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

Work from the ground to keep work area clear of debris using handsaws, pole saws and pruners, hand pruners, loppers, and gasoline-powered equipment.
Define staging areas and set up/break down materials, tools, and equipment as required.
Prepare and feed brush into woodchipper and load/unload trucks with logs, stumps, brush, and debris.
Operate various trucks and equipment; perform basic maintenance and report major repairs.
Tie knots, rope breaks, and speed lines per industry standards; safeguard employees and the public from hazards.
Flag traffic as needed; able to work long hours and overtime during emergencies.
