Job summary

Xylem Tree Experts and Kendall Vegetation Services is seeking a Groundsperson to support the crew from the ground by clearing brush and trees and performing site cleanup. The role involves outdoor work, operating basic hand tools, and assisting with material handling; travel to storm sites is required.

Requirements include a High School diploma (or equivalent), physical fitness, the ability to follow safety rules, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Must meet I-9 work authorization requirements.
• Experience in electric utility vegetation management, construction, logging, landscaping, mechanical, or military industries preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety rules and enforce safe practices on site.
• Keep work area free of debris and hazards.
• Clear brush and trees from ground level using handsaws, pole saws, pruners, and related tools.
• Load and unload logs, brush and debris; feed brush into brush chipper.
• Set up and break down road signs and flag traffic to protect workers and public.
• Drive trucks or operate equipment as assigned; perform basic maintenance on vehicles and tools.
