Job summary

ISA Certified Arborist is seeking a Groundsperson for full-time outdoor vegetation management. The role involves operating ground-based equipment, loading materials, and maintaining trucks and tools while upholding safety standards.

Some storm restoration travel is required. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license (CDL preferred), and willingness to work overtime during emergencies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in electric utility vegetation management, construction, logging, landscaping, mechanical, or military industries preferred.
• Valid Driver’s license required. CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work from ground to keep work area clear of debris using handsaws, pole saws, pruners, and gasoline-powered equipment.
• Define staging areas and set up/break down materials and tools as required.
• Load and unload trucks with logs, stumps, brush, and debris and operate trucks and equipment as assigned.
• Perform basic maintenance on trucks and equipment and report major repairs.
• Protect employees and the public from hazards; flag traffic as needed.
• Able to work long hours and overtime during emergencies.
