Job summary

Onni Properties (Chicago) Inc is seeking a maintenance associate to keep common areas clean across properties and to support operations as needed. The role requires travel between sites and a second shift with weekend work to support priorities.

Responsibilities include processing work orders, stocking supplies, assisting staff with notices, and ensuring safety and cleanliness of buildings and grounds to promote a quality living experience for residents.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with hand/power tools preferred.
• Strong emphasis on safety and tenant-facing service.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with supervisor regarding status of work and issues.
• Schedules, monitors and performs work orders.
• Ensures supplies are in stock and orders as directed.
• Assists office staff with posting notices on resident doors.
• Inspects buildings and grounds for safety and cleanliness; notifies maintenance of repairs.
• Provides excellent customer service to prospective residents and tenants.
• Performs general building preventive maintenance tasks.
• Maintains common areas to ensure quality living environment.
• Communicates maintenance function to supervisor and property management.
• Performs common area clean-up including power washing and pool area care.
