Job summary

Housing Connect is seeking a Groundskeeper to support the mission by maintaining clean, safe, and attractive public housing grounds. You will work with Property Managers and vendors, following agency policies and procedures, and serve residents with courteous, efficient service.

The role requires full-time, Monday–Friday 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, with duties ranging from grounds upkeep to snow removal and preventive maintenance on equipment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid Driver's License is required.
• Ability to work outside in varied weather conditions.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Maintain daily upkeep of public housing grounds, buildings and amenities; clean and remove trash and debris.
• Yard care including mowing, trimming, edging and weeding.
• Upkeep of sidewalks, driveways and parking lots.
• Snow removal from walks and parking lots; spread salt.
• Prune trees, shrubs and hedges; erect and repair fences and gates.
• Paint building exteriors and curbing; remove trash from vacant apartments before make-ready.
• Operate vehicles and powered equipment; use hand tools as needed.
• Submit paperwork to Lead Property Manager daily; maintain inventory records.
• Respond to work orders and inquiries in a timely manner; participate in staff meetings and trainings.
• Promote safe, attractive communities and maintain a professional appearance.
