Morningstar Living is seeking a Groundskeeper/Maintenance Technician II for Heritage Village in Nazareth, PA. The role is year-round, full-time, on-site, with hours 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM and rotating weekends/holidays.

The position offers a $21–$25/hour pay range based on experience and comprehensive benefits. Responsibilities include maintaining outdoor property, supporting the maintenance team, landscaping, and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance across seasons.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in grounds/ landscape maintenance.

Responsibilities

Morningstar Living currently has a Groundskeeper/Maintenance Technician II opportunity for our Heritage Village residential living community in Nazareth, PA. Situated on 52 beautifully maintained acres, this year-round position offers a dynamic, hands-on work environment where you’ll help maintain safe, attractive grounds and residential dwellings throughout all seasons. This role offers consistent, full-time hours and long-term stability working 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM with a rotating weekend and holiday schedule. They pay range for this role is $21 - $25 per hour based on experience.

What will I do as a Groundskeeper/Maintenance Technician II?

• Maintain all outside property in optimum condition during all seasons of the year. Collaborate with maintenance team to make sure the grounds and the building are always properly cared for on a daily basis.
• Maintain the Shop and Maintenance building in a safe, clean, orderly condition.
• Mow the lawns, prune the bushes, trees, vines, and hedges, edge the walkways and give the grounds a manicured look.
• Design, plant and maintain flowerbeds by weeding and mulching.
• Maintain daily Pool logs in accordance the Department of Agriculture. Monitoring and adding pool chemicals as needed and directed.
• Assist with all phases of leaf and snow removal.
• Adheres to federal, state, and local guidelines and laws including but not limited to HIPAA, resident abuse, and Elder Justice Act
• Exhibits behaviors set forth by the Code of Ethics and Business Conduct in the performance of their duties. Adheres to the Organization’s Policies and Procedures regarding the Compliance Program and is timely in reporting any possible concerns.

What do I need to in role of Groundskeeper/Maintenance Technician II?

• Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have a current, valid license in good standing.
• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in grounds/ landscape maintenance.
• Ability to operate snow plow, salt truck, and other equipment to remove ice and snow from roads and assigned areas.
• Ability to operate various types of lawn equipment, including but not limited to riding mowers such as a Zero-Turn or tractor.
• Honest, reliable, and responsible; able to work independently.
• Willing to assist with maintenance, repair, and other work in resident dwellings when unable to work outside or as requested.

What are the physical requirements in the role of Groundskeeper/Maintenance Technician II?

Spends most time outdoors, frequent exposure to extreme hot or cold temperatures. Possible exposure to distraction/uncomfortable noise levels and vibration of body or extremities. Possible exposure to fumes, odors, etc. that may affect respiration and skin. Risk of bodily injury from mechanical parts, electricity, etc. Able to lift up to 60 lbs.
