Job summary

Sun Communities & Sun Outdoors is seeking a Groundskeeper to join our team in Ocala, FL. You will maintain lawns, plant beds, and assist with snow removal and debris clean-up to keep our communities visually appealing and safe for residents.

The role requires basic computer skills, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather. On-call availability and teamwork are essential for success in this position.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (Required).
• 6 months in groundskeeping experience preferred.
• 6 months in general grounds maintenance knowledge (Required).
• Ability to work outdoors in varying temperatures and weather.
• Ability to work after hours and on-call as needed.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Mow lawns, weed, plant flowers, and maintain common areas.
• Repair and maintain irrigation and landscaping equipment.
• Remove debris, manage trash in common areas daily.
• Assist with pool maintenance by testing chemicals when applicable.
• Adhere to safety procedures and report maintenance issues to the manager.
• Support other duties and special projects as assigned.
