Job summary

Friendship Village Retirement Community in Waterloo, IA is seeking a Landscape/Lawn care worker to maintain and beautify the campus grounds. Responsibilities include lawn care, weeding, planting flowers, shrub and tree trimming, snow removal, and related tasks, with safety in mind.

General hours are 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with rotating weekends and on-call, and applicants must be at least 18, able to work in all weather, lift up to 100 lbs, and have a valid driver's

• Able to lift 100 lbs and operate power equipment safely.
• Valid driver's license and transportation to move between campus buildings.
• Prior landscaping experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Care for, upkeep, and beautify the grounds around the campus.
• Perform lawn care, weeding, flower planning, shrub and tree trimming/removal, planting.
• Assist with snow removal and other grounds tasks as needed.
• Follow safety protocols and operate equipment properly.

Friendship Village is looking for individuals to care for, upkeep, and beautify the grounds around our campus. Job duties include lawn care, weeding, planning flowers, shrub and tree trimming, removal, planting, snow removal, and other tasks as needed.

General hours are 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with rotating weekends and on-call hours. Hours vary depending on the season and the weather, so it is important that the right person be flexible and able to work other hours as needed. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and able to work in all types of weather, including extreme heat or cold. Must be able to lift 100 lbs and operate power equipment properly, following all safety protocols. Applicants must have a valid driver's license and transportation in order to move from one building to another and perform daily duties. Prior experience preferred but not required.
