Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness in recreation areas, sidewalks, and walkways.
• Cleanup and raking of shrub areas as needed.
• Use equipment to manage grass and debris on the grounds.
• Perform additional duties assigned by the Community Manager.

Job description

Do you love working with your hands and being outside? Do you like seeing flowers and shrubs live harmonious lives while bringing beauty to all that see it? Are you a stickler for the grass to be mowed evenly and directionally? TheGroundskeeperrole is for you.

Physically walking the community on a frequent basis and removing litter, debris and other items as needed from the grounds. Attention to detail is especially critical for the following areas and should be free of litter at all times:

• Recreation areas
• Sidewalks and walkways
• Grass, flowers, and shrubs

And for those pesky areas that are always in need of some attention you can help us by:

• Clean and rake shrub areas
• Use blower to keep sidewalks and walking areas clean of loose grass and brush
• Maintaining the lovely landscaping, plantings, and foliage that brings a smile to all
• Perform any additional duties as assigned by the Community Manager

Equipment

An employee in this position must be knowledgeable and skilled in the safe use and maintenance of cleaning fluids and tools, including mop, broom, vacuum cleaner, carpet cleaning equipment, buffer, step ladder, full ladder, hand tools, key-cutting machine, hand truck, wheelbarrow.

Work Hours

This is a fulltime position, 40 hours a week. The hours are Monday through Friday 8:30 – 5:30, and Saturday 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.
