Job summary

Milton Hershey School (MHS) is seeking a full-time Groundskeeper II (G-II) to help maintain the 2,700-acre campus, including trees, shrubs and turf, athletic fields, and the Spring Creek Golf Course. Responsibilities include pruning, mowing, trimming, fertilizing, and chemical applications.

Winter months involve snow and ice removal. The position offers a 40-hour work week with a flex schedule and benefits, including paid time off and health coverage.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 5+ years experience in chemical/pesticide application.
• Valid PA Driver's License in good standing.
• Valid Pennsylvania Pesticide/Licensed Applicator License (Cat. 6 and 7 or 23) or obtain license within 6 months of hire.
• Willing to actively engage with students.
• Demonstrate a high degree of integrity; staff are role models for MHS students.

Responsibilities

• Care for trees, shrubs and turf through pruning, mowing, trimming, fertilizing and chemical applications.
• Maintain campus athletic fields and the Spring Creek Golf Course facility.
• Assist with snow and ice removal during winter months.
