Job summary

Hocking College is seeking a Student Groundskeeper to maintain all outdoor areas across campus properties, ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for students, faculty, staff and visitors.

You will work independently or with a team, performing mowing, trimming, planting, snow removal, and landscape work while developing hands-on skills with campus‑friendly equipment. This role supports campus experience and pride through routine upkeep and safe practices.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled as a full-time Hocking College student.
• Must meet SAP requirements.
• Minimum GPA 2.0.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Safety-minded with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining outdoor areas across all Hocking College campuses and properties.
• Perform mowing, trimming, planting, and weeding.
• Maintain roadways, sidewalks, and parking lots.
• Support grounds cleanliness and safety initiatives.
• Assist with snow removal operations.
• Perform tree and shrub maintenance.
• Maintain athletic fields.
• Participate in landscape construction projects.
• Complete additional duties as assigned.
