Job summary

Penn State Health Milton Hershey Medical Center is seeking a dedicated Grounds and Landscape Technician to maintain the campus exterior, grounds and landscapes. This full-time role operates on the night shift with a $2.50/hour shift differential.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma, two years of horticulture experience, a PA pesticide license (or ability to obtain), and a valid driver’s license with annual MVR. Knowledge of landscape equipment and snow plowing is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent or obtain within six months of start date.
• Two years of horticulture experience required.
• PA Certified Public Pesticide Applicator License Cat 23 + Core, or obtain within 6 months of hire is required.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and provide an MVR annually.
• Prior experience operating landscape/lawn care equipment, construction equipment, various trucks/trailers, and tractors with manual/automatic transmissions.
• Minimum two years of prior snow plowing experience with trucks and grounds equipment.
• Prior experience operating a skid loader is required.
• A minimum score of 75% on written and hands-on test will be administered.
