Job summary

Glenaire, a Continuing Care Retirement Community in Cary, NC, seeks a Groundskeeper to maintain our campus and support residents' daily living. This full-time role focuses on lawn care, irrigation, pruning, pest checks, and general outdoor maintenance to create a safe, welcoming environment.

You will work with a team and independently as needed, arriving 7am to 3:30pm, Monday through Friday. A valid driver's license and a passion for serving seniors are essential, along with strong communication

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Desire to serve senior adults.
• Positive outlook and friendly demeanor.
• Ability to take initiative and be detail oriented.
• Work well independently and on a team.
• Flexible and able to handle a fast pace.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Mow lawn with push or riding mower.
• Operate sprinkling equipment and water lawns.
• Prune trees.
• Inspect flowers, shrubs and trees for evidence of insects, fungi and other pests.
• Spray and dust chemicals on infected areas.
• Rake leaves and grass.
• Clean wooded areas.
• Pressure washing.
• Drain and irrigation maintenance.
• Pick up rubbish.
• Clean side walks and driveways.
• Move tables and furniture.

The Groundskeeper

provides service to the residents in the community that enable them to function at the highest possible level. This service includes:

• Mow lawn with push or riding mower.
• Operate sprinkling equipment and water lawns.
• Prune trees.
• Inspect flowers, shrubs and trees for evidence of insects, fungi and other pests.
• Spray and dust chemicals on infected areas.
• Rake leaves and grass.
• Clean wooded areas.
• Pressure washing
• Drain and irrigation maintenance
• Pick up rubbish.
• Clean side walks and driveways.
• Move tables and furniture.

Required:
