Job summary

University Partners is seeking a Porter to keep community grounds clean and safe in Austin. You will assist maintenance, manage trash, and support outdoor tasks daily to ensure a welcoming environment for residents and staff.

The role requires attention to detail, customer service, and the ability to perform physical tasks outdoors, including weekends and possible overtime. Valid driver’s license may be required depending on property operations.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail and pride in property appearance.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Basic math and measurement skills including conversions.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Able to lift and carry 10–25 pounds regularly.
• Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to residents, guests, employees, and vendors.
• Clean and monitor trash and recycling areas to ensure cleanliness.
• Maintain exterior common areas, breezeways, walkways, and amenity spaces.
• Remove debris, litter, and pet waste from grounds daily.
• Assist with pressure washing of buildings, sidewalks, and common areas.
• Perform minor landscaping tasks and light maintenance tasks.
• Assist with unit punch walks during move-in/move-out periods.
• Deliver notices, packages, or correspondence to residents on request.
• Report safety hazards and maintenance concerns immediately.
