American Campus Communities is seeking a Groundskeeper for the 309 Green property in Champaign, IL. This full-time role maintains buildings and grounds, supports amenities, and enhances curb appeal while offering opportunities for certifications and career growth.

You’ll perform routine upkeep, assist with make-readies, turnover, pool care (if applicable), and safe operation of equipment, with training provided.

Qualifications

• The ability to drive a golf cart and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Knowledge of general labor, housekeeping and cleaning tasks.
• The ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and MSDS rules for handling and use of any chemicals.
• The ability to understand and carry out written or verbal multi-step instructions.

Responsibilities

• Clean the interior and exterior of the property to standard.
• Property groundskeeping, including trash collection.
• Vacuuming, mopping and/or shampooing floors in resident rooms and common areas; stocking bathrooms.
• Assist the service team with work orders, moving furniture, and unloading and storing supplies.
• Support the service team with apartment make-ready duties, including trash outs, cleaning, and painting.
• Assist in property turnover process.
• Support the service team with pool maintenance (if applicable) and pressure washing.
• Safely operate all facility equipment, adhering to safety protocols and best practices.
• Assist in maintaining clean and orderly shops, storage areas, and back-of house environments, ensuring all tools and supplies are organized.
• Other duties, as assigned by supervisor.
