Job summary

American Campus Communities is seeking a Groundskeeper for the 309 Green property in Champaign, IL. This role maintains buildings and grounds, including common areas and amenities, to enhance curb appeal and property value.

You will perform cleaning, groundskeeping, and maintenance tasks, assist with make-readies, turnover, and basic pool maintenance if needed. Training provided, opportunities to gain certifications.

Qualifications

• Must be able to drive a golf cart and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Experience in general labor, housekeeping, and cleaning tasks.
• Able to read safety rules and MSDS-related instructions.
• Able to understand multi-step written or verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Clean interior and exterior of the property to standard.
• Maintain property grounds including trash collection.
• Vacuum, mop, or shampoo floors in resident rooms and common areas; stock bathrooms.
• Assist service team with work orders, moving furniture, and supplies.
• Support turnover, trash outs, cleaning, and painting.
• Assist with pool maintenance (if applicable) and pressure washing.
• Operate facility equipment safely and follow safety protocols.
• Keep shops and storage areas clean and organized.
