Job summary

Capital Vacations in Gatlinburg, TN is seeking a Groundskeeper to maintain resort grounds and provide a safe, clean environment for guests and owners. This full-time role offers daytime hours from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM and a starting pay of $17 per hour with benefits.

You will care for lawns, trees, shrubs, flowers, turf, and irrigation, operate hand and power tools, and assist with general maintenance tasks as needed. Prior groundskeeping experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year groundskeeping or related field.
• Valid Driver’s license.
• Proficient with manual and power hand tools.
• Ability to follow instructions with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety laws.

Responsibilities

• Maintain landscaping of the resort, including lawns, trees, shrubs, flowers, and turf.
• Operate and maintain hand and powered tools efficiently.
• Keep grounds clean, remove trash, and perform basic irrigation checks.
• Assist with maintenance tasks as needed and perform snow removal.
• Follow official job description on first day; duties may vary by location.

What you're great at:

• Responsibilities listed may not apply to all locations
• Maintains the landscaping of the resort
• Maintains lawns, trees, shrubs, flowers, turf, and irrigation to include trimming, fertilizing, etc.
• Operates and maintains hand tools efficiently
• Keeps grounds free from trash, litter, debris
• Empties all trash receptacles
• Conducts basic irrigation audits and preforms basic irrigation repairs
• Removes snow utilizing shovel or snowblower
• Assists with any maintenance task as needed
