Job summary

Omni Bedford Springs Resort & Spa is seeking a dependable groundskeeper to maintain outdoor spaces and reflect our high standards of property care. You will perform daily upkeep of sidewalks, drives, and landscaping while observing safety procedures.

This role requires self-motivation, the ability to work with limited supervision, and a commitment to guest service. You will operate lawn care equipment and report any hazards to protect our historic resort and guests.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a groundskeeper preferred.
• Ability to assist guests with friendly demeanor.
• Strong organization and communication skills.
• Ability to move and lift moderate to heavy weights.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and clean all outdoor hotel property (i.e. sidewalk, drives, parking lot).
• Keep the hotel property in good condition.
• Have a thorough understanding of Omni fire alarm procedures and other emergencies.
• Open and close work requests.
• Use moderate to heavy equipment to complete duties as assigned, i.e. leaf blower, power washer, etc.
• Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions; complete safety training and certifications.
• Follow all company policies and procedures; ensure clean uniform and professional personal appearance; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets.

• Safely climb ladders while carrying moderate to heavy weight. Wear personal protective equipment when required.
• Interior of hotel and in all areas of the property.
• Exposure to extreme hot and cold temperatures.
• Exterior of hotel with exposure to weather conditions.
• Exposure to various cleaning chemicals.
• Power tools and general engineering tools.
