Job summary

Omni La Mansion del Rio in downtown San Antonio is seeking a Groundskeeper to maintain outdoor areas and reflect the property’s high standards of cleanliness and appearance.

You will work independently with limited supervision, follow safety procedures, and use equipment such as leaf blowers and power washers to keep sidewalks, drives, and the parking area in top condition.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a groundskeeper preferred.
• Ability to assist all guests with a friendly and outgoing demeanor.
• Excellent organization, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to manage workload in a dynamic environment.

Groundskeeper

Overview

This team memberis responsible for ensuring the hotel property is well maintained and reflects an image of outstanding quality. This individual is self motivated and has the ability to work independently with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and clean all outdoor hotel property (i.e. sidewalk, drives, parking lot).
• Keep the hotel property in good condition.
• Have a thorough understanding of Omni fire alarm procedures and other emergencies.
• Open and close work requests.
• Use moderate to heavy equipment to complete duties as assigned, i.e. leaf blower, power washer, etc.
• Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions; complete safety training and certifications.
• Follow all company policies and procedures; ensure clean uniform and professional personal appearance; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a groundskeeper preferred.

• Safely climb ladders while carrying moderate to heavy weight. Wear personal protective equipment when required.
• Interior of hotel and in all areas of the property.
• Exposure to extreme hot and cold temperatures.
• Exterior of hotel with exposure to weather conditions.
• Exposure to various cleaning chemicals.
• Power tools and general engineering tools.
