Job summary

Edward Rose & Sons is seeking a Grounds Technician to join our on-site operations team at The Harbours Apartments in Clinton Township, MI. The role focuses on maintaining grounds, irrigation systems, and common areas to ensure a positive resident experience.

Qualifications

• Ability to shovel snow or clear ice from walks and apply salt
• Ability to work outdoors in hot or cold temperatures
• Lift a minimum of 20 pounds and push/pull up to 80 pounds
• Irrigation experience is a plus
• Maintain a professional appearance following dress code
• Effectively communicate with residents and coworkers
• Basic computer skills and willingness to learn software
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Maintain the general upkeep and cleanliness of the apartment community
• Upkeep on parking lots, grounds surrounding the buildings, corridors, stairwells, laundry rooms, and mechanical rooms
• Collect and remove trash as needed
• Weed beds and edge landscape areas
• Monitor the irrigation system and repair sprinkler heads/lines as required
• Report unhealthy lawn, trees, shrubs, and plants to management
• Rake grounds and sweep or blow sidewalks and parking lots
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor
