Edward Rose & Sons is seeking a Grounds Technician for the South Bridge Apartments in Fort Wayne, IN. You will support on-site operations and help provide a positive resident experience.

Responsibilities include upkeep of the community, landscaping, irrigation, trash removal, and reporting issues to management. The role requires outdoor work, physical mobility, and reliable transportation; driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Shoveling snow and spreading salt during winter.
• Work outdoors in extreme temperatures (hot/cold).
• Lift at least 20 lbs; push/pull up to 80 lbs.
• Irrigation experience is a plus.
• Professional appearance per dress code.
• Clear, courteous communication with residents and staff.
• Basic computer skills; able to learn software/apps.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of the apartment community.
• Care for parking lots, grounds, corridors, stairs, and common areas.
• Collect and remove trash as needed.
• Weeding of garden beds.
• Monitor irrigation and water grassed areas.
• Repair or replace sprinkler heads and lines.
• Report unhealthy landscaping to management.
• Edging around trees and landscape borders.
• Raking grounds and sweeping sidewalks and lots.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
