Rockingham County, NH is seeking a Building & Grounds Technician to maintain the County Complex grounds, roads, parking areas, and related facilities. The role includes coordinating preventive maintenance, operating a variety of power tools, and supporting the Motor Services Division as needed.
You will be cross-trained in facilities maintenance, respond to emergencies such as snow events, and participate in on-call rotation to ensure a safe, well-kept environment for staff and residents.

The Building & Grounds Technician maintains all aspects of the Buildings & Grounds/Land Management operations.The Facilities Operations team is committed to providing the employees and residents at Rockingham County a safe, supported, and environmentally conscious environment. The Building & Grounds Technician maintains the overall grounds of the County Complex including lawns, shrubs, trees, flowers, roads, parking lots, catch basins, drainage ditches, hay fields, and further, operates any related equipment. The Building & Grounds Technician also coordinates preventative maintenance programs for equipment including changing oil, changing filters, greasing equipment, and performing small engine repair. As part of our cohesive team in Facilities Operations, the Building & Grounds Technician is also cross-trained in other areas of Facilities Maintenance (particularly the Motor Services Division) and participates in rotating on-call maintenance for coverage purposes. Further, this position responds to emergency situations, such as snow removal, at the County Complex for up to 16 hours.
