Job summary

Rockingham County, NH is seeking a Building & Grounds Technician to maintain the County Complex grounds, roads, parking areas, and related facilities. The role includes coordinating preventive maintenance, operating a variety of power tools, and supporting the Motor Services Division as needed.

You will be cross-trained in facilities maintenance, respond to emergencies such as snow events, and participate in on-call rotation to ensure a safe, well-kept environment for staff and residents.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency required.
• Two to five years of relevant experience.
• A current, valid driver’s license is required.
• Ability to operate a range of power and hand tools as listed.

Responsibilities

• Maintains grounds of the County Complex including lawns, shrubs, trees, flowers, roads and parking areas.
• Coordinates preventive maintenance and handles small engine repair; cross-trained in Facilities Maintenance.
