Job summary

The City of Nashua is seeking a Groundskeeper/Maintenance in the Division of Public Works, Parks Department. Primary duties include landscaping, snow removal, mowing, planting, tree removal with an aerial bucket truck, irrigation work, and facility upkeep.

Shift is 6:45 am to 2:45 pm, Monday–Friday, full-time, AFSCME unit. Starting hourly rate not to exceed $32.04.

Qualifications

• 1 to 3 years of relevant work experience
• High School Diploma or certified equivalent
• Must possess valid CDL-B license
• Must possess a Pesticide (G2 and B) Applicator's license or obtain within 1 year of employment

Responsibilities

• Maintains the properties of the City of Nashua, including landscaping, snow removal, mowing, planting, and tree removal
• Operates equipment such as an aerial bucket truck and performs irrigation installation and maintenance
• Performs painting, ball field maintenance, playground maintenance, and trash removal from parks

JOB SUMMARY AND RESPONSIBILITIES

This position maintains the properties of the City of Nashua. The position is responsible for landscaping, snow removal, mowing, planting, tree removal involving the use of an aerial bucket truck, irrigation installation and maintenance, painting, ball field maintenance, playground maintenance, and trash removal from parks. This position also ensures the proper maintenance of all facility structures and other duties as assigned. This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, 6:45 am to 2:45 pm, is part of the AFSCME Collective Bargaining Unit, and provides an excellent work life balance. The position has a starting hourly rate not to exceed $32.04

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS

• 1 to 3 years of relevant work experience

• Must possess valid CDL-B license
• Must possess a Pesticide (G2 and B) Applicator's license or have the ability to obtain the certification within 1 year of employment
