Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Groundskeeper in Houston, TX to maintain community grounds, amenities, and curb appeal. You will support the service team, remove litter, prepare vacants, and assist with make-ready processes.

The role requires outdoor work in all weather, ability to lift up to 50 lbs with assistance, and a valid driver's license for golf-cart operation. Swing shifts and weekend coverage may be required, with competitive benefits and housing discounts where applicable.

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver’s license to operate golf cart on property.
• Able to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods and bend, stoop, climb ladders, reach, carry objects.
• Able to work inside and outside in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Inspects the community to remove litter, debris, and pet droppings; ensures common areas are neat and free of litter.
• Removes trash and items from vacant apartments; transfers trash to dumpster or storage areas; cleans storage areas.
• Completes minor and routine service requests; supports the make-ready process.
• Changes locks per property policy; ensures pool area gates work according to codes and safety standards.
• Distributes notices and communications to residents as needed.
• Reports hazards or dangerous situations to supervisors.
• Demonstrates customer service by treating residents with respect and responding to complaints.
• Complies with safety policies; attends safety meetings; completes required training on OSHA and related laws.
