Bell Partners Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to uphold the cleanliness and upkeep of our communities. You will operate under the direction of the Community Manager and Maintenance Manager and ensure grounds and common areas are well-maintained.

The role requires 2+ years in grounds keeping and landscaping in multifamily settings, physical stamina for lifting up to 80 lbs, and strict adherence to safety standards. This position is based on site across Bell Partners communities.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of grounds keeping experience in a multi‑family environment.
• 2+ years of landscaping experience.
• HVAC/EPA certifications may be required depending on staffing levels.
• Physical requirements: walking, bending, reaching, climbing, and lifting up to 80 lbs.
• Ability to work with mechanical and electrical equipment and hazardous materials.
• Comfortable with heights and moving heavy objects.
• Must follow safety/OSHA requirements.
• Regular attendance and punctuality.

Responsabilités

• Maintain the grounds of the assigned property.
• Maintain cleanliness outside each building and surrounding grounds.
• Maintain a uniform landscaped look by picking up debris around buildings and breezeways.
• Clean out building gutters.
• Plant and tend to flowerbeds, trees, and shrubs; trim, mow lawns; apply fertilizer and pesticides; use pest control equipment.
• Follow established procedures for maintenance of tools and equipment (lubricating, sharpening, repairs).
• Clean and remove trash.
• May perform pool maintenance duties.
• Shovel snow and spread salt on walkways as needed.
• Clean vacated apartments as directed by the Maintenance Manager.
• Clean common areas daily.
• Ensure amenities are kept clean and orderly (fitness facility, bathrooms, laundry, business center, offices, clubhouse).
• Assist maintenance team in vacant units or with light work orders/punch lists (no on-call).
• Follow all safety/OSHA requirements.
• Regular attendance and punctuality.
